Variable and Constant Spring Hangers/ Spring Supports

Mode of Selection:

The application of Variable Spring Support is directly related to the pipeline (for which the supports are required) and the headroom in existing structure available. This also determines the type of support to be selected.

Size of Variable Support:

The actual load, which the spring is to support and direction of pipeline movement, during the working or operation position from the installed load position to be considered. The load range (from installed or cold load to operating or hot load) and range of movements cover to size to be preliminarily selected, and finalized after checking the variability. The direction of movement is up or positive if the operating or hot load is achieved at lesser value to cold load and it is read above the cold load in any column marked with number. On the other hand the direction of the movement is called down or negative when operating or hot load is achieved at bigger value to cold load and it is read before the cold load in any column marked with size number.

 Ordering Criteria

• Value of operating load (hot load) on pipeline where hanger is to be fixed.
• Value of travel and magnitude of direction from cold to hot (+/-)
• Series and type of hanger/ support.
• Preset load or cold load on the pipeline.
• Variability in percentage (%)

Quality control

All springs are tested individually and offered for inspection as per BS-3974 Part-I (1974). We offer spring hangers for load travel or any other test as required by clients.

Guarantee:

Each and every assembly is guaranteed for 18 months from date of supply or 12 Months from date of commissioning, whichever is earlier.
